Founded in 2021, Équité Association is a national, independent organisation with a vision to be world class at reducing and preventing insurance fraud. Équité is particularly active with regard to the auto theft sector.
Betty Ng, Director, Ontario and Investigation Coordination Support Services at Équité Association, a not-for-profit working to eradicate insurance crime on behalf of the Canadian property and casualty insurance industry. Betty Co-Chairs the Équité Investigations Group (EIG) consisting of investigators from across the industry, oversees Canada’s only commercial cargo theft database and program, and fosters strategic partnerships with law enforcement and other stakeholders.
With her expertise in leading and investigating organized insurance fraud, identity theft, health care provider fraud, and auto theft recoveries and investigations, Betty is an insurance professional with more than 20 years in the industry. She was previously a leader at TD Insurance, focused on industry intelligence investigations, and prior to TD Insurance, she worked for several personal lines and commercial insurers. Betty also sits on the board of directors at the Canadian Association of Special Investigation Unit (CASIU).
