The CPIO is proud to announce that Michael Sherrard and Lisa Bolton will be hosting a webinar entitled: Do's and Don't For Private Investigators and Lawyers.

Please join us for a live webinar entitled "Do's and Don'ts for Lawyers and Private Investigators".  Labour and Employment lawyers, Lisa Bolton and Michael Sherrard will review case studies and discuss best practices to help investigators and instructing lawyers stay within the lines and avoid legal pitfalls arising from private investigations. Topics will include:

 

  • Duty of care of private investigators
  • Managing client expectations and preserving privilege
  • Avoiding unlawful investigative conduct and maintaining credibility
  • Privacy considerations
  • Evidence collection dos and don’ts
  • Preparing an investigation report for use in a legal proceeding
